Once upon a time, a 4-year-old boy visited the boardwalk amusements of the Jersey Shore. The curious little guy walked up to a game wheel and saw a record player. His father gave him a quarter and told him to put it down on a number and spin the wheel. The wheel stopped on the boy's number and he won that record player.

From the beginning, with 7" 45 RPM singles, Joe was entertaining his family and friends. With the advent of the cassette tape recorder, he soon learned to make his own mixes by hand-splicing the magnetic tape. Then came the CD and then the recordable CD. Today, Joe combines vinyl, CD, and MP3 to create a compelling entertainment package.

 

Retro Joe is approachable!  He is always willing to take requests from patrons and if he doesn't have a song... he gets it and plays it next time!

 

Classic music is king!  DJ Retro Joe spins proven music... music with great beats and vocals that get people dancing and singing.  His tracks are hand-picked because they have survived over time.  Of course, if there is a fresh mix of a new track, by all means... he plays it.  The ultra-modern stuff?  He leaves that up to the other experts.  When a song endures, you can be assured it will become a part of the DJ Retro Joe playlist!
